On 17 March Phoenix Members were addressed by Geoff Driver from the Prostate Cancer Charity. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and now accounts for nearly a quarter of all new male cancer diagnoses. The Prostate Cancer Charity invests in research into the disease and seeks to raise standards of treatment and of care and support for patients and their families, as well as playing a key role in raising public awareness of the disease and promoting political debate about services and support.
Club President Mike Bradley was delighted following Geoff's address to hand him a donation of £600 towards the Charity's work
