The Horbury Show always on the last Sunday in June and this year it is on Sunday 25th June 2023 - 11 am to 4.30 pm
This will be the 25th Horbury Show run by the Rotary Club of Horbury & Ossett Phoenix (and the 39th year in which the Show and its predecessor, the Midgley Show, has taken place in Carr Lodge Park in the centre of Horbury).
The Show regularly attracts several thousand people from Wakefield, Horbury, Ossett, Netherton and surrounding districts. We offer free entrance to all visitors and provide free programmes for the Show. We do however ask for donations towards both parking and programmes because all the profits our Rotary Club makes from the Show are paid into our Charitable Trust Fund to be used mainly for local charitable causes.
Horbury & Ossett Phoenix Rotary Club is not a commercial organisation, we don't have funds of our own and therefore could not run the Show without the help and financial assistance of our sponsors and supporters - but most importantly the public who turn up on the day. We continue to receive strong support from our local Councillor, as well as from members of WMDC StreetScene Services. The Trustees of Horbury Common Lands Trust have been generous in their support and in addition the owners of businesses based in our district also support the Show through their sponsorship, advertising in our Show Programme and attendance at the Show. Their support is invaluable to us - so please follow the links to their websites -
We will post a list of the attractions for the 2023 Show as and when attractions are booked and confirmed. That list of attractions will be updated, as additions and changes take place, in the weeks leading up to the Show.
Free Admission
To emphasise, admission to the Show is totally FREE. The authorised Rotary Marshalls will be rattling their buckets for any donations you may have – which will go to the Phoenix Rotary Trust Fund and we will have text and card giving facilities.
