As of the 1 May 2011, over £6000 has been raised and banked through the combined efforts of walkers, donors, and sponsors of the Rotary Navigation Walk. This is a tremendous total and will grow to a bigger sum once our Gift Aid application has been processed through HM Revenue and Customs.
The first of our Presentation Nights took place at The Navigation Inn, Broad Cut Road, Calder Grove, Wakefield, on Thursday 12 May when a cheque for £2000 was handed over to the Wakefield Hospice.
A further presentation evening was held on Friday 20 May at the Navigation Tavern, Mirfield, when cheques for £2000 each were handed over to The Kirkwood Hospice and The West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.

Once all moneys have been received and Gift aid funding has been received from HM Revenue and Customs, further cheques for the balance will be sent to the respective Hospices and our web site will updated.

To all walkers and sponsors of walkers, many thanks for taking part and your contribution.
