Every year in June Yorkshire's Rotary District organises a "Kids Out" event where hundreds of deserving children get taken on a coach to Lightwater Valley Theme Park near Ripon for rides and treats. The Rotary Clubs all send volunteers to accompany the kids and assist their teachers and carers.
This year Horbury and Ossett Phoenix Rotary Club took along 13 lovely kids from Kingsland School, we hope they enjoyed it at will remember their exciting day for a very long time. The Rotarians and their partners who accompanied them this year certainly enjoyed their day - "those kids simply melt your heart"
Many thanks to our organiser of our part of the event Rotarian Chris Taylor, who as always did a wonderful job.
