Santa has asked Phoenix Rotary Club to get on the road again this year and provide a sleigh and team of Elves for the evenings of 9th, 10th and 11th of December. The Santa and his sleigh will be visiting the streets of Horbury and Horbury Bridge. (Precise routes for each night likely to be the same as last year, to be confirmed later).
To help us fulfil Santa’s wishes we need to recruit at least 2 new volunteer Elves to join us on each evening. Duties are not onerous but do require reasonable levels of general fitness (e.g. for walking and rattling a bucket), a good sense of humour and an ability to enjoy and sustain the magic of Christmas for all ages but especially children.
Elf Hats, Hi Vis tabards with Xmas lights, sealed buckets and full training will be provided.
Hours of activity: 5.15 to 8.15pm each evening.
Rotary insurance cover will be provided.
The reward is getting in the Christmas Spirit, making other people happy and raising funds for good causes mainly in the local community (e,g, local food banks, sports and social clubs, and local school activities) distributed through our Rotary Club Charitable Trust.
