The Horbury Show is run by the Phoenix Rotary Club and raises thousands of pounds for charity every year. All the profits from the show go to Phoenix Rotary's Trust Fund, a registered charity, which spends the vast majority within our local communities. The Show relies heavily on volunteers to run efficiently and keep costs down, enabling it to continue as a free community event.
The Horbury Show 2019 will take place on 30 June and we need additional voluntary help in the form of people willing to assist for a few hours during the 2 days leading up to and on the day itself. Help is needed on tasks such as loading and unloading equipment onto a lorry or transit van, collecting and distributing traffic cones, directing traffic, setting up show rings, litter picking, distributing tables and chairs, leading stall holders to their pitches, and many more. Help will be needed on Friday 28 June from 4pm to 6pm, Saturday 29 June from 1.30pm to 2.30pm - litter pick, and Sunday 30 June (Show Day) - various times, in one or two hour blocks, from 7am to 6pm.
Some of the loading and unloading requires a reasonable level of strength, but the majority of the jobs require only normal levels of fitness and mobility.
