placing the Phoenix scarecrow entry "Zippy" at the Netherton Scarecrow Festival 2024.
"Zippy" is a traditional scarecrow based on a wooden cross made of eco-friendly coppiced Hazel.
The clothes and cap will likely be washed and worn again and the stuffing is hay.
The base is a trailer spare tyre with a wheel bearing which allows Zippy to turn around in the wind!
