Earlier in the year Phoenix made several grants to local good causes, one of which was to Grangemoor Brass Band and as a result of that grant the Band were able to purchase two cornets for the new members pictured in the photo below.
Val Hope, Leader of the Youth Section of Grangemoor Band, said in an email to Phoenix:
"I would like to send pictures of the two children with their new cornets purchased with the grant money from the Rotary Club of Horbury and Ossett Trust Fund. Thank you so much for making this possible and we are now able to shorten our waiting list of children wanting to join the band... Thank you again."
