Defibrillator, Heart Start & CPR - Free Training

Whilst defibrillators are easy to use we think that everyone should be better prepared in the event of an emergency. Anyone can be trained, just let us know if you are interested. We think it’s a great way to bring the community ogether and help to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest. The free training sessions will be held at Horbury Working Members Club, Cluntergate, Horbury, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF45DB.
We will let you know when the training sessions are arranged. Please use this website's "Contact Us" link so we may give you further details via email.

P1260030 On Thursday 26th January, HOPRC held its annual Youth Speaks competition at Heath Cottage Hotel in Dewsbury for the George Owen trophy.  Two local high schools, Horbury School and Ossett Academy sent teams to make presentations on the topic "Are your parents your best role model?"  Both teams put forward some challenging views about who they might look up to and why.
P1260027 The Ossett team of Oli Lloyd, Carley Green and Lauren Cotterill,  supported by teachers Rachael Thompson and Jo Standbury, came out on top, narrowly beating the Horbury trio of Josh Mellard, Michael Brown and Tamsin Scott.  The Horbury staff , Ibby Brown and Kim Voyce, were rightly proud of their team, for the quality of their argument and presentational skills but it is  the Ossett team that will take their presentation to the Rotary District Final in Fulford on 8th March.
